Business and Social Sciences Division

Our Business and Social Sciences Division offers a range of degree subject areas which will fully transfer to a university, as well as exciting certificate and degree programs to prepare you for a career.

Your future job depends on the skills you learn as a student. TMCC works closely with industry partners to create new degree programs when local employers demand new skills from our students. In recent years, advisory board members from the community have helped shape a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Logistics Operations Management, as well as an Associate of Science in Hospitality and Tourism, both in our Business Department.

In the Social Sciences, we have recently added degrees in Social Work and Human Development and Family Studies as well as completely revamped our Elementary Education Teacher Preparation program to better align with our four-year partner institutions. New degrees in Secondary Education are coming soon.

Our non-credit programs include Workforce Development and Continuing Education where you can participate in short-term certificate training, take workshops to boost your career skills, or take fun courses in the arts, health and wellness, and so much more. In our Adult Basic Education Program, you can earn your high school equivalency or learn English at no cost through a grant from the Nevada Department of Education.

Your success is our goal and we are excited to support you!
