Per the NFA Contract, Article 10, TMCC is announcing to all eligible Academic and Administrative faculty that a need exists for a Nevada Apprenticeship Project (NAP) Staff Training and Compliance Monitor.

Description
Under the supervision of the Interim Dean of Technical Sciences, the Staff Trainer & Compliance Monitor will provide training for new Nevada Apprenticeship Project (NAP) staff, as well as monitor apprenticeship tracking to ensure state/federal compliance.
Scope of Work
This is an assignment requiring additional work hours outside the regular contract and during the summer to fulfill said duties. This assignment will begin April 4, 2022 and will end June 30, 2022. The position will entail approximately 150 hours of work. This additional assignment is not automatically renewed annually.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Provide ongoing training and support for new NAP employees.
- Provide guidance to NAP staff about practices and processes in an effort to ensure compliance with the state/federal apprenticeship requirements.
- Provide oversight, review and feedback to NAP staff regarding the methods and accuracy of apprentice onboarding and tracking.
- Meet weekly with NAP staff to discuss activities, identify opportunities and address challenges.
- Other duties agreed upon with the Interim Dean or appropriate designee.
Qualifications
The ideal candidates for this position will meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of one year experience working with the Nevada Apprenticeship Project
- Competency with the federal and state RAPIDS system
- Knowledge of Nevada’s registered apprenticeship regulations and requirements
- Understanding of the Scaling Apprenticeship grant metrics and reporting requirements
Compensation
Stipend of $6,300. This is an additional assignment for a grant-supported program and cannot support release time.
Reports To
This position reports to the Director of Technical Science
Accountability
The NAP Staff Trainer and Compliance Manager will provide a monthly report to the Interim Dean of Technical Sciences which includes type of training and support provided, as well as and what is still needed; current and future compliance concerns; process and outcome observations; and recommendations for improvement.

Interested faculty will submit a letter of interest describing qualifications and background information as relevant to the responsibilities outlined above. The letter should be addressed to the Interim Dean of Technical Sciences and must be received in that office by 5 p.m. on March 30, 2022.
Selection Process
The Interim Dean of Technical Sciences will notify applicants of the hiring decision on or before April 1, 2022.
