Per the NFA Contract, Article 10, TMCC is announcing to all eligible Academic and Administrative faculty that a need exists for Math 26 “Support for the Support” Curriculum Development (2 positions).

Description
Develop material, both in print with a multimedia component, integrated into Canvas, that will provide the just-in-time support for the objectives of Math 26. The result will be a packaged “support for the support” content available for faculty, tutors, and for students who need to refresh the more basic concepts that are necessary for success in Math 26, and ultimately in Math 126. The positions will seek input from faculty and tutors in the development process. The modules of the curriculum need to be tied to objectives of the Math 26 worksheets.
Scope of Work
Approximately 35–40 hours to create framework with material for review by Nov. 1, 2021.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
Seek input from faculty and tutors to develop material to assist faculty, tutors, and students in Math 26. Create material that will be able to be integrated into Canvas courses, and may include a printable booklet for tutors to have on hand, take always flyers for students to have outside of tutoring and the classroom, and study guides.
Qualifications
Any current full-time or part-time faculty teaching Math 26 may apply.
Compensation
$2,150. This additional assignment is supported by a set dollar amount which cannot be directed towards release time. Paying a stipend is the only available compensation.

Dean of Math and Physical Sciences
Application Process
Interested faculty will submit a letter of interest describing special qualifications and background information no later than 5 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2021.
The letter should be addressed to Anne Flesher, Dean of Math and Physical Sciences. Note: Administrative faculty must include a documented plan for separation of the additional assignment work from regular work time.
Selection Process
The Dean will notify applicants of the hiring decision on or before Oct. 14, 2021.
