Advanced Manufacturing Coordinator

Per the NFA Contract, Article 9, TMCC is announcing to all eligible Academic and Administrative faculty that a need exists for an Advanced Manufacturing Coordinator.

The Advanced Manufacturing Coordinator will serve as the point of contact for programmatic matters. The coordinator will work with the advanced manufacturing faculty to gain consensus and act as a communication liaison between the faculty and the Dean and Department Chair. The Coordinator will complete a variety of administrative tasks in a timely manner working with internal and external stakeholders.

Scope of Work

The coordinator position serves during the academic term 2024–2025. The assignment will cover the 172 contract days of the academic year. This additional assignment is not automatically renewed annually. 

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  1. Work with the faculty to develop recommendations for student-centered semester schedule for review and approval by the Department Chair.
  2. Make staffing and room assignment recommendations for the schedule for approval by the Department Chair.
  3. Represent the faculty voice at meetings with employer partners. 
  4. Assist with the development and oversight of the budget of the Advanced Manufacturing program.
  5. Select, supervise, and evaluate such number of qualified part-time instructors as is necessary to carry out the program.
  6. Coordinate assignment of course assessments and assist in completing them.
  7. Complete course substitution forms.
  8. Arrange adequate educational facilities for training.
  9. Ensure a regular cadence of Advisory Board Meetings and meet with the chair to develop the agenda (twice per year).
  10. Coordinate and assist with curriculum development and development of program learning outcomes.
  11. Participate in program outreach (career fairs, open houses, special events).
  12. Serve as primary point-of-contact for student inquiries.
  13. Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with standards, mission and goals of Truckee Meadows Community College.
  14. Maintain sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and disabilities of community college students.
  15. Comply with published college policies, procedures and deadlines
  16. Other duties as assigned by the Dean.


The Advanced Manufacturing Coordinator must meet minimum qualifications for the discipline and have experience teaching at the college level. Must have a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, strong organizational skills, effective interpersonal and interprofessional communication skills, ability to gather consensus, and be highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Canvas. Experience with Courseleaf, E-Lumen, and Peoplesoft are preferred.


This assignment is a 3-credit release or stipend of $2,856 each for the fall and spring semester.
