Leslie Jia
Director
Provides leadership, and using best practices, designs, develops and delivers a comprehensive and efficient array of financial aid services in support of the College's mission, core themes and strategic initiatives. The position contributes to the strategic enrollment goals of the College and ensures compliance with institutional, state and federal financial aid regulations. Counsels students regarding financial aid.
Nicole Barnes
Assistant Director
Responsible for awarding TMCC scholarships that are managed by the TMCC Foundation and Grants Department. Processes and handles all external scholarships and other external aid including Americorps, and aid from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Processes student loans including federal, private, and emergency loans. Awards the Silver State Opportunity Grant and assists with awarding the Nevada Promise Scholarship. Serves as the financial aid liaison for DACA and undocumented students. Assists with processing citizenship documents, and consortium agreements.

Serves as manager of departmental budgets and procurement cards, assists with outreach opportunities, student employment, and supervision of student employees.

Coordinates outreach events for new and continuing students. Counsels students on financial aid, assists with SAP Appeal process, and supports front desk staff with customer service.

Coordinator
Monitors office compliance with institutional, state and federal regulations. Oversees verification and return to Title IV funds processes. Monitors incoming ISIRs and reviews as necessary. Counsels students regarding financial aid.
Valerie Lambert
Program Officer for Student Employment
Responsible for all aspects of work study, including federal, state and community service work study. Packages, monitors and disburses work study funds. Oversees student employment payroll processing. Manages the Regents Award Program and Federal Work Study Literacy Program at TMCC. Coordinates the financial aid appeal process and counsels students with regard to financial aid.
LaTara Misher
Financial Aid Coordinator
Serves as a Liaison for the Foster Youth Student Services, Native American Student Services, Summer Bridge Program, as well the Web Services and Marketing departments. Coordinates with the Outreach Team to plan events for new and continuing students. Serves as a member of the financial aid appeal (SAP Appeal) process. Assists with Incentive Grant awards, Counsels students on financial aid, manages social media content for the department, and supports front desk staff with customer service.
Kelly Nowicki
Financial Aid Coordinator
Responsible for the Millennium Scholarship, legal guardianship, ward of the court, foster care, homelessness or at risk of being homeless, high school documents (including high school diploma/transcript, GED, home school, and foreign high school). Assists with processing verification and manages all professional judgements including student income review, parent income review, and dependency overrides. Supervisor of financial aid student employees, the front desk, as well as counsel students regarding financial aid.
