Provides leadership, and using best practices, designs, develops and delivers a comprehensive and efficient array of financial aid services in support of the College's mission, core themes and strategic initiatives. The position contributes to the strategic enrollment goals of the College and ensures compliance with institutional, state and federal financial aid regulations. Counsels students regarding financial aid.
Program Director for Student Services Systems
Coordinates all technical aspects of department, including electronic communication with U.S. Department of Education, PC maintenance and set-up, software installations and upgrades, report generation. Acts as department liaison with NSHE Computing Services Center and TMCC Information Technology staff. Monitors electronic financial aid processes including packaging and disbursement. Serves as PeopleSoft functional expert for Student Services. Counsels students regarding financial aid.
Coordinates all financial aid outreach events for new and continuing students. Responsible for awarding annually TMCC scholarships that are managed by the TMCC Foundation and Grants Department. Processes and handles all external scholarships and other external aid including Americorps, aid from Bureau of Indian Affairs. Processes student loans including federal, private, and emergency loans. Serves as the financial aid liaison for DACA and undocumented students.
Serves as the Millennium Scholarship coordinator. Responsible for professional judgements such as dependency overrides and income reviews and assists with verification. Supervises financial aid student workers, the front desk and counsels students regarding financial aid.
Financial Aid Coordinator for Special Populations and Veterans Advisor
Serves as liaison between Financial Aid and Academic Advisement. Main financial aid contact for Success First/Summer Bridge students, students with disabilities and students in the GRS cohort. Processes Consortium agreements and income reviews. Serves as financial aid representative at orientation/advisement workshops, counsels students with regard to financial aid. Serves as Veterans advisor.
Monitors office compliance with institutional, state and federal regulations. Oversees verification and return to Title IV funds processes. Monitors incoming ISIRs and reviews as necessary. Counsels students regarding financial aid.
Program Officer for Student Employment
Responsible for all aspects of work study, including federal, state and community service work study. Packages, monitors and disburses work study funds. Oversees student employment payroll processing. Manages the Regents Award Program and Federal Work Study Literacy Program at TMCC. Coordinates the financial aid appeal process and counsels students with regard to financial aid.
NSHE Specialist 2
Performs default prevention and debt management activities. Coordinates letters, email and phone communication with current and previous borrowers. Assists the Student Loan Coordinator in processing student loans, emergency loans, and aids students with loan issues. Manages the Financial Literacy and Money Education by Students (FLAMES) program.
Financial Aid Coordinator
Coordinates financial aid outreach events for new and continuing students. Counsels students on financial aid, and supports front desk staff with customer service.
