TMCC’s Career Hub works in collaboration with academic faculty to incorporate career development in their curriculum to provide students with the skills needed to be prepared for the world of work. The Career Hub offers a variety of services dedicated to helping students explore their skills, gain career-related experience and make a successful transition after graduation to employment.
We welcome opportunities to make classroom presentations and to provide job preparation information to students.
Popular presentation/workshop topics include:
- Resume and Cover Letter Writing
- Interview Preparation
- Intro to Career Hub
- Nevada Career Information Systems
- Career Success: 8 Competencies Employers Seek
We are also happy to develop customized presentations to fit your curriculum and class time.
The Career Hub hosts a variety of events throughout the school year including Job Fairs, Employer Event Series, Career Panels and Networking Breakfasts. If you have any suggestions for improving our events we would love to hear from you. Additionally, if there are any employer contacts you think would be interested in participating in our events please let us know. We are always looking to grow our employer list.
Attendance at Career Hub events is a great extra credit opportunity for students and we are more than happy to sign off on any paperwork or help create extra credit exercises for any of our events. Please let us now if you would like a schedule of our upcoming events. Our events would not be the same without faculty and staff support.
Internship experiences are a valuable method of gaining work experience in a particular field while earning a degree and faculty sponsors play an important role in this process. Internships are typically one-time, semester-long work experiences related to a student's field of study. To learn more about internship and other opportunities at TMCC, please contact us.
