Astronomy classes at TMCC support degree programs in the sciences as well as students who wish to complete their general education requirements.
Astronomy classes are limited to 28–32 students and both lecture and lab are taught by the same instructor so that students receive one-on-one attention from the instructor.

Introductory Astronomy: Stars and Galaxies
A course for non-science majors to fulfill their General Education Science requirement. This class has four lab experiences.
Prerequisite: MATH 120
Taught: Fall, Spring
Introduction to Space Science and Engineering
An introductory, project-based course that looks at space science design as well as fulfilling the general education science requirement. Lab is integrated into the course.
Corequisite: MATH 120
