Executive Order 11246, As Amended: requires affirmative action programs for women and minorities and prohibits job discrimination on the basis of race, color , religion, sex, or national origin.
Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 (VEVRAA): requires affirmative action to employ and advance in employment qualified disabled veterans, veterans of the Vietnam era, recently separated veterans and other protected veterans and prohibits discrimination based on Vietnam-era veteran status, special disabled veteran status, or veterans who served on active duty in federally assisted programs.
Section 503, Rehabilitation Act of 1973: requires affirmative action to employ and advance in employment qualified individuals with disabilities and prohibits discrimination based on disability in federally assisted programs.

Genetic Information
Title II of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (GINA): protects applicants and employees from discrimination based on genetic information in hiring, promotion, discharge, pay, fringe benefits, job training, classification, referral, and other aspects of employment. GINA also restricts employers' acquisition of genetic information and strictly limits disclosure of genetic information. Genetic information includes information about genetic tests of applicants, employees, or their family members; the manifestation of diseases or disorders in family members (family medical history); and requests for or receipt of genetic services by applicants, employees, or their family members.
Labor Relations
Executive Order 13496: requires Federal contractors and subcontractors to notify employees about their rights under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). The NLRA is the primary law governing relations between unions and employers in the private sector, and guarantees the right of employees to organize and to bargain collectively with their employers, and to engage in other protected concerted activity with or without a union, or to refrain from all such activity. Additionally, Federal contracts and subcontracts include a provision requiring Federal contractors and subcontractors to post the notice.
Race, Color, National Origin
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964: prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin in programs or activities that receive federal assistance.
