We offer a variety of music classes to meet the needs of degree-seeking students, as well as those who are interested in expanding their musical knowledge. Appreciation and history classes are available in traditional Western European (classical), American pop, jazz and rock music. Music theory is offered at five different levels and complemented with classes in sight singing and ear training, and composition.
TMCC continues to expand the music program with exciting Music, Music Ensemble and Applied Music classes. All classes and ensembles are open to TMCC students, UNR students, community members and high school students.
We offer a transferable two-year Associate of Arts degree with emphasis in Music, as well as a one-year Certificate of Achievement in Music. Additionally, TMCC's Associate of Arts degree with Musical Theater Emphasis is available.

For those at the beginning level, group lessons are offered for piano, guitar and voice.
TMCC music ensembles and many classes meet at the Nell J. Redfield Foundation Performing Arts Center (RPAC) located at 505 Keystone Ave. The 250-seat theater is our main performance venue and the music lab is housed in this facility. Most of the music appreciation and history classes are held at the Dandini Campus.
