CTE College Credit Program

If you are currently a high school student, did you know that you could be earning free college credits for your elective classes you are taking now?

Our CTE College Credit Program will save you time and money towards your college degree just by completing your high school courses and passing a skills assessment.

It's easy, and there are over 70 CTE programs offered in high schools, enabling you to explore several career pathways while you complete your high school education.

Who is Eligible?

High school students who receive the Nevada Department of Education Certificate of Skill Attainment may qualify for free college credit. To be eligible you must:

  1. Complete the CTE program 3-year course sequence with a B average or higher.
  2. Pass the State End-of-Program Technical Skills Assessment.
  3. Pass the State Workplace Readiness Skills Assessment.

Note: Nevada Department of Education is restructuring high school CTE Programs of Study to increase access and opportunity for all students to participate in CTE Programs of Study. Most CTE Programs of Study will transition from a 3-year program to a 2-year program. There may be changes to assessments that may impact articulation agreements and a student's eligibility to earn free CTE College Credit.
