General

Yes! TMCC's Student Ambassadors provide tours of the Dandini Campus. Also check out our online virtual tour!

As a public institution, TMCC has an obligation to ensure that its services, programs, and informational materials provide equal access to the widest possible audience, including individuals with disabilities.(Prospective students should see also: TMCC Disability Resource Center.)

While all of our buildings are wheelchair accessible, campus tours provided by our student ambassadors are walking tours with hills and steps.

Please indicate on the tour reservation request form if you require special accommodations.

All tours are conducted in English; however, tours can be conducted in Spanish if a bilingual staff member is available.

Yes, TMCC welcomes family of all ages! All children must be supervised by an adult and are the responsibility of that adult.

Unsupervised children will be reported to the TMCC Police.

At this time, only tours of the Dandini Campus are available from our student ambassadors.

Parking is free and open to the public at all TMCC sites and educational centers. No permits are required.

Dress comfortably for walking and for the weather. During the summer months, be prepared for sunny and warm days with frequent afternoon thunder showers. It’s a good idea to bring a hat and/or sunscreen and an umbrella.

During the late fall, winter and early spring, layer your clothing and bring rain gear.

TMCC Dandini Campus is located on the southern flank of Red Mountain at an elevation of approximately 4,900 feet above sea level and the weather is changeable.

Yes. The TMCC Bookstore is located on the first floor of the Red Mountain (RDMT) Building and sells TMCC merchandise such as T-shirts, mugs, keychains, etc.

Yes. The TMCC Cafe is a good place to grab a snack or a meal, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

The TMCC Bookstore sells snacks, and there are vending machines throughout the campus.

Generally, tours will be conducted rain or shine.

In the event of adverse weather or another emergency that affects College operations such as closing campus, the College will communicate via social media (Facebook and Twitter), local news media, and/or the College website.

All tours meet and start at the Welcome Center on the first floor of the Red Mountain Building (RDMT). See TMCC College Maps for directions.

TMCC has four locations and offers classes and workshops at more than 40 sites in Washoe County.

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) provides bus service to TMCC's Dandini Campus. The Welcome Center in the Red Mountain Building, room 315 has bus schedules, or you can contact RTC directly at 775-348-RIDE.

The RTC sells discounted bus passes to TMCC students. Students are required to have their TMCC ID to purchase passes, as well as to use the passes on RTC buses. You may purchase your TMCC bus pass at the Accounting Services Cashier’s Office.
