Intro to literature that explores and considers the ways in which major literary genres (poetry, fiction, drama), themes, and literary movements interact with, reflect, inspire, and inform artworks in different fine arts (painting and sculpture, film, theater, music, and dance).
This course provides an overview of the psychology of learning, motivation, growth & development, personality dynamics, and social adjustments for students in grades K-8. The purpose of this course is to introduce students to various characteristics that impact learning. Students will explore the implications of learning theories and demonstrate how key concepts and principles can be applied in the educational environment.

Continued introduction to basic Spanish language structures and cultural topics with a focus on proficiency in the four skills as described for SPAN 111. This course transfers to UNR as SPAN 112.
An introductory astronomy course covering the cosmic perspective, visual astronomy, gravity, electromagnetic radiation, star properties and life cycles, star death and stellar remnants, galactic systems, exoplanets, the search for life in the universe, and Big Bang cosmology. Includes four required laboratory experiences. Satisfies UNR Science core curriculum requirements. Transfers to UNR as AST 110.
