RSVP: First-Generation College Celebration Day

TMCC Students

In collaboration with TRIO Student Support Services, Veterans Upward Bound, and TMCC’s Student Government Association, you are cordially invited to the annual National First-Generation College Celebration Day on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023.

TMCC joins colleges and universities across the country in commemorating First-Generation College Celebration Day as a way to honor and recognize students from today, yesterday and tomorrow who will become the first members of their families to graduate college.

This year, we will celebrate the connection between continuing education and health and wellness.

We welcome you to join Vice President of Finance and Government Relations Mike Peyerl, TMCC TRIO Program Directors, TMCC SGA and TMCC faculty, staff, students, and alumni for a fireside chat with TMCC Counselor Chris Westin and Juana Reynoza-Gomez, Program Director for Equity, Inclusion, and Sustainability to celebrate the success of first-generation college students as they share their own first-generation experiences and insights as higher education professionals in an effort to encourage, inspire and empower other first-generation students to continue thriving in their educational pursuits.

Please let us know if you will be attending by Wednesday, Nov. 1 by filling out the form below.
