MANDATORY STEPS OF ENROLLMENT: Background check, Drug Test, HCP CPR card, Major Medical Insurance and Immunizations. Students enrolling in SRGT 112 must also enroll in SRGT 110 and SRGT 111. Enrollment requires department consent. Attendance is mandatory. All requirements must be completed before enrollment in the SRGT sequence is allowed. Classes will be held at multiple locations. Please check with your instructor for the location assignment. Classes will be held Wed., Thu., and Fri, (varied hours and locations). For more information, contact the SRGT office at 775-674-7657. In the event of public health restrictions or other emergencies, classes may need to be changed to Web-Live, Web, or Hybrid instruction modes. Students will be notified by instructors and/or academic departments of any required changes.

Description

The student will be assigned to specific preceptors to perform in the function of a Sterile Processing Technician. The student will actively assist in the assembly, cleaning, stocking, sterilizing, and record keeping as part of the Sterile Processing Department Team. Completing the certification exam will be required.
