ArtFest: Poetry, Fiction, CNF Submission Presentation

Have you drafted and revised a short story, poem, or creative nonfiction essay? Would you like to see that work published in a print or online magazine? Luckily for you, there are more literary journals and magazines—both in print and online—publishing writing than ever before, but understanding the process of submitting work to these journals can seem like a daunting, vulnerable exercise. This presentation will focus on publishing individual poems, stories, and CNF. Examining literary magazine and submission databases such as Submittable, New Pages, Duotrope, and Poet & Writers, this presentation will focus on how to navigate the process of finding an appropriate journal for your writing, drafting a cover letter and third-person bio for editors, and assembling a submission packet.
