This panel will provide a presentation of, and a student-based engagement with, the written work of the esteemed US author, Rebecca Solnit. More specifically, this panel will explore, respond to, and discuss a selection of essays by Solnit, in which she not only addresses the atmosphere of violence within which women live in the US, but also discusses how US culture can undo that atmosphere.
