Please join us for a historic moment when art and education truly become a part of the lives of students across Northern Nevada. We will debut the newly installed sculptural artworks Guardian of Eden and Shadow of the Sun—both acquired by the Museum as gifts from Reno residents Bonnie and Jack Grellman in the memory of their son K.C Grellman. The Nevada Museum of Art will join TMCC and UNR in a dedication ceremony of long-term loans of artworks from the Museum’s permanent collection to both institutions, and to announce a new partnership that will open the Museum’s doors to UNR and TMCC students in perpetuity. We will also recognize the generosity of longtime Museum Trustee, philanthropist, and education champion Wayne L. Prim for his $2 million gift to endow Free Student Admission for UNR and TMCC effective immediately. TMCC President Dr. Karin Hilgersom, UNR President Brian Sandoval, Wayne L. Prim, Bonnie Grellman, and Nevada Museum of Art CEO David Walker will offer brief remarks.
