Everyone's invited (the DISCO still has a few books left) to join our FREE Book Club for Belonging: Diverse Indigenous Perspectives circle discussion on April 29 at noon!
We will discuss An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz. Come even if you haven't yet read the book or you've read just a little.
We will discuss our history and questions of belonging, such as:
- How does a textbook start date for US history impact our sense of belonging now?
- How have Indigenous communities stewarded forests vs how are forests stewarded by the US institutions now?
- How does learning the history of Indigenous experiences prompt following Indigenous leadership to make reparations and sustain co-existence now?
