Art Exhibits on Display April 10–May 1, 2019
Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) welcomes its 45th Annual Student Art and Design Exhibition, which will be on display April 10 through May 1, 2019. The artist reception and awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Student Center. Additionally, a special presentation will be given by the juror, Marti Bein, at 5:30 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Marti Bein is a Native Nevadan who is continuously inspired by the surroundings of rural Nevada and by the children who often explore the high desert with her. She has been painting since she could hold a brush and has taught the medium to artists from preschool to the post-graduate level for over 30 years. Marti has also shared her knowledge with students here at TMCC. She received her Bachelor of Art degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and her Master of Liberal Studies in painting and humanities from the University of Oklahoma, Norman.
Awards are generously funded through TMCC and Nevada Fine Arts.
