The mission of the FOC is to foster an environment that supports the voices of faculty of color and creates a greater sense of community and mutual support among the faculty, staff, and, eventually, students of color through mentoring and networking.

We seek to celebrate the contributions, successes, hopes, and goals of faculty of color at TMCC. The group also aims to support and address the issues and concerns that people of color may have at our college. The intention is not to divide but rather to explore feelings of disconnectedness, cultivate connections independent of external conditions, and find support in a way that does not ignore social realities.

FOC is open to all academic and administrative faculty who self-identify as people of color or faculty of color allies. We envision FOC as a way for people of color at TMCC  to offer mutual support and create a safe space where we can cultivate long-lasting bonds and relationships that will benefit group members.
