TMCC Foundation 2017 Annual Report

A Bridge to Opportunity Donors are the backbone of the TMCC Foundation, and with their support, the Foundation is able to provide a bridge to opportunity for TMCC’s students. Donor support provides a wide range of support at all five TMCC sites: Dandini Campus, the William N. Pennington Applied Technology Center, the William N. Pennington Health Science Center, Meadowood Center and the Nell J. Redfield Performing Arts Center. Thank you to our important community partners, and the TMCC faculty and staff who are making a difference to our students through their generosity and commitment to a TMCC education. The Truckee Meadows C ommunity C o l lege Foundat ion was established in 1982 to provide TMCC with an avenue to pursue private philanthropic support for TMCC students and programs. The Foundation partners with the College to bridge the gap between public funding and College need as determined by TMCC leadership and the 2017-2022 TMCC Strategic Master Plan. Annually, the TMCC Foundation fuels student success and academic excellence by directly supporting programs, scholarships, capital projects, instructional equipment, professional development, emergency funding and other critical needs and opportunities as they arise across campus. To build community support, the TMCC Foundation and trustees serve as ambassadors to forge partnerships with individuals, businesses, and organizations. The Foundation raises funds through its annual fund campaign, employee giving, special events, and individual, corporate, and private foundation solicitations.
