Impact of Giving The impact of giving can be felt throughout the TMCC campus. Founded in 1971, Truckee Meadows Community College serves more than 11,000 students each year at the College’s five sites: Dandini Campus, the William N. Pennington Applied Technology Center, the William N. Pennington Health Science Center, Meadowood Center and the Nell J. Redfield Performing Arts Center. The College’s student population has grown and the programs diversified. This last academic year, the College awarded 1,477 degrees and certificates to 1,174 students, including two Bachelor of Applied Science degrees – a first for TMCC. Since its inception in 1990, the TMCC Foundation Scholarship program has awarded over $6 million to deserving students throughout the College’s programs. This support can be a critical factor in degree completion for many students. In 2017-2018 academic year, TMCC awarded over $734,000 in scholarship support to 557 students in programs throughout the College.
