TMCC Foundation 2017 Annual Report

Thanks to the generosity of TMCC Foundation donors, 2017 was a successful year for the Foundation. Revenue over $2.5 million was raised in support of student success and academic excellence. In the following pages, we are proud to highlight just a couple notable gifts and accomplishments from the year, with a few outlined below: • The establishment of the Frank N. Bender Center for Applied Logistics Management at the TMCC Meadowood Center thanks to the generosity of the Bender family and the estate of Frank N. Bender. • A generous grant was provided by the William N. Pennington Foundation allowing for renovations of more space allowing for growth of the Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs; enhancements to our collaboration with Adopt a Vet Dental; expansion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program and to create a new Anatomy and Physiology Lab. • $740,300 was raised in support of scholarships for students and during academic year 2017- 2018, and $734,984 was awarded to 557 students. FY 2019 is shaping up to be another successful and exciting year. New initiatives include the 1971 Society - a new leadership giving initiative - and planning for a new EATS building is underway that includes a relocation of the Redfield Performing Arts Center to the main campus and an expansion of the culinary program as well as a Hospitality and Tourism Program.
