Get Started With WebCollege

Find out if you are ready for online courses. Then, please review the steps below. You'll soon be on your way to a successful academic start!

  1. Know Your Username and Password
    Your student username and password were provided to you on your admissions letter when you were accepted to the college. These credentials will give you access to MyTMCC, your student email and your WebCollege courses. If you don't know your username or password, please use the online self-service tools.
  2. Know What is Expected of Online Students
    Read and understand the TMCC student Informed Consent Statement and Guide for Online Classes to know what is expected of all online students.
    • Be sure your computer has the minimum system requirements which include having a device with a compatible web browser, a word processor compatible with Microsoft Office, and any additional software application that may be required depending on the class. 
    • Complete the Getting Started with WebCollege Tutorial. After completing, you should be able to navigate your online class, send and read email, post to a discussion, submit materials to a drop box and take quizzes.
  3. Books are Required
    Use our textbook lookup to find out what books are needed for your classes.
  4. Log On to Your Class
    WebCollege classes generally start on the first Monday of the semester. When class begins, log on to Canvas and read your course syllabus for detailed information concerning your class(es). Good luck!

    Online student training is provided through the Getting Started with WebCollege Tutorial in Canvas. Additional resources are also available:

Note: Online classes are not self-paced. Students are required to log in to class within 1-2 days of the appropriate semester. Failing to do so can result in an administrative withdrawal.
