Hours (CCH = 1.20). o Example 2: (non-major Science class): An instructor teaches a lecture class that has 3 Contact Hours per week, plus a lab that meets 4 times per semester for 3 hours each, for a total of 12 lab hours per semester. The lab Contact Hours per week = 12/15 = 0.80 CH.The lecture and lab both have a CHR = 1.0. CCH = (3 lecture CH x 1.0 CHR) + (0.80 lab CH x 1.0 CHR) = 3.80 CCH o Example 3: (Visual Arts combined lecture/lab class): An instructor teaches four lecture/lab classes that have 5 Contact Hours per week: 3 are lecture and 2 are lab.
