Welcome to the TMCC emergency medical services department! TMCC's EMS department offers courses focused on skills that will be needed for a career in the emergency medical field including, but not limited to: firefighting, ambulance employees, police, and hospital EMTs. These courses are based on hands-on experiences during lab and clinical times, as well as knowledge given in the classroom.
The classes include: AHA BLS Healthcare Provider CPR, First Responder, EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, Paramedic, and coming soon, advanced life support classes. We also offer refresher courses for those who need continuing education which also include: First Responder, EMT-Basic, and EMT-Intermediate. The program's curriculum is approved by the State of Nevada Health Department, which uses the approved objectives from the Nevada Department of Transportation. Course work focuses on practical testing for the National Registry of EMTs at the end of each semester for those who are enrolled in a current class and for those who need to be NREMT certified.
You will be able to find the right level of training whether you are pursuing a degree at TMCC, transferring to a university, or taking classes for career advancement or personal interest. Please contact us with any questions.
