Health and Wellness Committee

Mission

The mission of the TMCC Health and Wellness Committee is to promote a culture of physical, psychological, and emotional well-being for our students, employees and TMCC community by providing activities and support that will result in healthier lifestyles.

Purpose

  1. Increase awareness and factors contributing to physical and mental well-being.
  2. Inspire and empower individuals to take responsibility for their own health.
  3. Encourage our community to make healthier lifestyle choices.
  4. Create a sense of community and raise awareness through the use of campus and community health and wellness resources.

Charge

  1. To facilitate wellness communication through various online resources, workshops, and events.
  2. To offer programs that encourage physical activity, emotional well-being, and healthy eating habits.
  3. To ensure compliance with health and safety regulations that may affect the college.
  4. To provide resources to build a supportive network to bolster health goals.
  5. To encourage suggestions and feedback on future wellness programs and activities.
