Academic Advising

Assists students as they explore educational planning, majors, transfer procedures, class selection and other information about the College.

Academic Programs and Divisions

Truckee Meadows Community College also offers a wide range of academic and university transfer programs, occupational training, career enhancement workshops and classes just for fun.

Accounting Services

Provides effective financial guidance that assures compliance with applicable State of Nevada, Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE), and TMCC rules and regulations relative to the expenditure of College funds. The department also provides a variety of services to students, faculty and staff, including cashier, accounts payable, payroll, financial aid disbursements for students and loan collections, accounting services, travel financial reporting and student billing.

Accreditation

TMCC's Accreditation Office is home to TMCC's evaluation reports and the College's Strategic Master Plan. TMCC is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and/or the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education.

Admissions and Records

A central location where students can get started with all aspects of entry to the College. The Office provides application for admission assistance, Admissions document pick up and submittal, and residency and refund answers. Students may submit requests for transcript evaluation, graduation and commencement to our Office. We serve all areas of the College with regard to enrollment, general schedule issues and assistance with various needs of students, faculty and staff.

Assessment and Planning

This site is intended to be the first stop for faculty, staff and other interested stakeholders who either need information and resources to fulfill their assessment requirements or want to understand TMCC's current and past activities in the area of learning outcomes and assessment.

Associate Vice President's Office

AThis division is made up of key areas that serve students and the institution, providing resources and communication tools that improve the student experience, including: Information Technology, Institutional Research, Marketing and Communications, and Web Services.

Athletics

TMCC fields both Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams. They compete in the Scenic West Athletic Conference and are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Auxiliary Services

Responsible for accounts payable, print services, mail services and property inventory, and vending services. Also responsible for alternative fuel fleet compliance.

Bookstore

TMCC's Bookstore is on campus and online with the textbooks and course materials you need to be successful. We carry supplies, testing materials, TMCC clothing and snacks to help you through the semester.

Budget and Planning Office

Provides development, management, monitoring and reporting of the College's financial resources.

Career and Technical Education (CTE)

Equips students with practical skills and knowledge for high-wage, high-demand, and high-skill careers.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) College Credit Program

Provides high school students the opportunity to earn free TMCC college credit for approved CTE elective classes completed while in high school.

Career Hub

Prepares students at any stage with the skills needed to be successful in the world of work.

Child Care Center

Through quality programming the Child Care Center provides early care and education based on best practices while maintaining a supportive learning environment for early childhood education College students.

Counseling Center

Assists students in establishing and achieving their educational, career and life goals.

Disability Resource Center

Provides free accommodations for TMCC students who have a documented disability. Students apply for this service and participate in the development of an accommodation plan.

Elizabeth Sturm Library

Offers comprehensive reference and circulation services to faculty and students. The Library subscribes to databases offering thousands of full-text journals, has an active library instruction program and can help faculty craft library assignments to build information literacy. Instructors are encouraged to place copies of course materials on reserve in the Library for students to use.

Environmental Health and Safety

Assists organizational units in meeting their responsibility to protect the environment and to provide a safe and healthful place of employment and learning.

Equity, Inclusion and Sustainability Office

Responsible for creating and initiating cooperation from the institution to make the College more inclusive, aware and sensitive to the needs of a multicultural and diverse society.

Faculty Senate

Officially-designated organization representing members of the TMCC faculty in most academic issues and other issues of shared governance at the College and in the NSHE system.

We're here to help you and your family plan for the cost of college. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you identify financial aid options, scholarship opportunities and employment choices.

Foundation and Grants Office

The TMCC Foundation and trustees serve as ambassadors to enhance the College's image; forge partnerships with individuals, businesses, and organizations; and raise gifts to meet College needs. We also provide guidance on policies and procedures to assist TMCC faculty and staff to administer grants in compliance with the federal and sponsor regulations.

Information Technology

Provides networking, wiring, telecommunications and technical support for TMCC. Manages TMCC's faculty/staff IT customer service. Develops enhanced desktop and reporting tools, and provides project management on various computing initiatives. Oversees application and media services.

Institutional Research

Provides research data, including TMCC's FactBook, surveys, state and federal reports, and research projects.

International Student Services

Assists F-1 International students with services necessary to succeed in their new academic environment as well as in the Reno community. Services include assistance with international student admissions paperwork, F-1 regulations advisement, academic advisement, counseling support services and assistance in understanding the international student insurance policy.

Marketing and Communications Office

Supports the College with media relations, graphic design, editing and print coordination services.

Part-time Faculty Support Office

Support and services for part-time faculty. including mailboxes, voice mail accounts, classroom keys, workspace/computer stations and more.

Police Department (TMCC)

Provides quality law enforcement services founded in community-oriented policing and problem solving principles.

President's Office

As the Chief Executive Officer of Truckee Meadows Community College, the President oversees all administrative, academic and financial aspects of the College.

Professional Development Office

Provides learning opportunities through workshops open to all members of the TMCC community in the areas of teaching and learning, technology, staff development and personal growth.

Recruitment and Access Center

The mission of the Recruitment and Access Center Office is to increase College access for prospective students from all backgrounds in order for them to realize their full potential and to successfully enroll at Truckee Meadows Community College.

Scheduling Office

Schedules usage of all TMCC rooms and facilities for both employees of the College and outside agencies.

Student Activities and Leadership Office

Provides opportunities for student success through co-curricular involvement, student engagement, and leadership development.

Student Life Department

Oversees a wide range of programs, activities, and services that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our student body.

Testing Services

Provides a stress-free testing environment and offers proctoring and testing services for members of the College community to take a wide variety of exams.

TRIO Student Support Services Program

Helping first-generation and income-qualified students and students with disabilities overcome the challenges in obtaining a certificate, a degree, and transferring to a four-year college.

Tutoring and Learning Center

TMCC tutors are trained to create a positive learning experience, clarify content and help students to attain higher academic achievement.

Veteran Services

The Veteran Services Office assists veterans with questions or problems regarding their benefits.

Veterans Upward Bound

Veterans Upward Bound is a free educational program for qualified veterans. The program is sponsored by Truckee Meadows Community College, funded by the U. S. Department of Education and is designed to assist veterans in preparing for success in college and other post-secondary training.

Vice President of Academic Affairs

Provides leadership for all instructional activities at the College in collaboration with the academic deans, department chairs and other academic leaders. Also provides leadership for planning, evaluating and developing student services programs at the TMCC Dandini Campus, Meadowood Center, Applied Technology Center and Health Science Center.

Vice President of Student Services and Diversity

Responsible for the for managing, planning, developing, and advocating for the student services functions at TMCC and for oversight of all departments in the division of Student Services. This Office is also responsible for the resolution of student enrollment complaints.

Responsible for the design, development, implementation, maintenance and operations of Truckee Meadows Community College's website and web-based information delivery systems.
