Per the NFA Contract, Article 10, TMCC is announcing to all eligible Academic and Administrative faculty that a need exists for a Suicide Prevention Intervention Course Content Expert.

Description

Suicide Prevention Intervention Training is an online, best practices based, certified CEU introductory course for first responders and mental health professionals.

The Course Content Expert is responsible for reviewing and updating course materials, and adding additional modules to keep the course timely and pertinent.

The Course Content Expert is responsible for answering/responding to student questions/concerns regarding course materials and will help facilitate questions or concerns about the CEU process.

Scope of Work

August 1, 2018 to May 20, 2019.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

Updated course content based on best practices, one new learning module addressing a current issues regarding suicidality that would be pertinent to first responders and mental health professionals, obtain and/or continued maintenance (in conjunction with the Counseling Center Coordinator) of certified CEUs for the Nevada Board of Social Workers, State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Professional Counselors, the Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners, the Nevada Board of Nursing and the Board of Medical Examiners.

Qualifications

Doctorate in psychology or a related field with ASIST and CAMS certifications.

Compensation

The equivalent of 1 credit each semester ($895/semester) for 2 semesters: $1,790.

Reports To

Executive Director of Retention and Support Services.

Application Process

Interested faculty will submit a letter of interest describing special qualifications and background information no later than 5 p.m. on July 23, 2018.

The letter should be addressed to the Executive Director of Retention and Support Services. Note: administrative faculty must include a documented plan for separation of the additional assignment work from regular work time.

Selection Process

The Executive Director of Retention and Support Services will notify applicants of the hiring decision on or before July 27, 2018.
