Hospital Management and Clinical Performance Oversight

Per the NFA Contract, Article 10, TMCC is announcing to all eligible employees that a need exists for Hospital Management and Clinical Performance Oversight Additional Assignments (15).

Description

The Hospital Management and Clinical Performance Oversight faculty will coordinate with clinical sites in order to provide clinical instruction and evaluate students according to current safety regulations during clinical rotations for Nursing program courses.

Scope of Work

Hospital Management and Clinical Performance Oversight faculty serve during the academic term 2022–2023, for the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semester. The assignment will cover the 88 contract days of the semester consisting of a one or two-credit assignment depending upon the course/section. Oversight of a group/section of NURS 138, NURS 170, NURS 202, or NURS 274 is two credits. Oversight of a group/section of OB clinical is one credit.  This additional assignment is not automatically renewed annually.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  1. Coordinate with clinical sites to stay in compliance with safety and COVID-19 procedure updates.
  2. Adapt clinical instruction as needed to stay in compliance with safety and COVID-19 procedures at clinical sites.
  3. Adapt student evaluation as needed to stay in compliance with safety and COVID-19 procedures at clinical sites.
  4. Complete all necessary documentation.
  5. Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with the standards, mission and goals of Truckee Meadows Community College.
  6. Maintain sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and disabilities of community college students.
  7. Comply with published college policies and procedures.
  8. Other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Dean.

Accountability

The Hospital Management and Clinical Performance Oversight faculty will complete all documentation on time and update the Director of Nursing as needed to ensure that students are following safety regulations and COVID-19 procedures at clinical sites and progressing through their clinical rotations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Current TMCC employee teaching one of the listed courses/sections in the Nursing program

Compensation

This assignment is an overload or release for one to six credits depending upon the course/sections.

Reports To

The Director of Nursing and the Life Sciences, Allied Health and Public Safety Division Dean.

Application Process

Interested employees will submit a brief letter of interest describing the course/section they are teaching no later than 5 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2022.

The letter should be addressed to Julie Ellsworth, Life Sciences, Allied Health and Public Safety Division Dean.

Selection Process

The Director of Nursing will notify applicants of the hiring decision on or before Sept. 2, 2022.
