Career and Technical Education Leadership BAS Developer

Per the NFA Contract, Article 10, TMCC is announcing to all eligible Academic and Administrative faculty that a need exists for a Career and Technical Education Leadership BAS Developer

This Additional Assignment is contingent upon budget approval.

Description

The Career and Technical Education Leadership BAS developer will create a BAS degree program including outcomes and measures, additionally they will create all necessary courses to complete the degree which include outcomes and measures. 

Scope of Work

This is an assignment requiring additional workdays/hours outside regular contract days, including times as needed during Spring 2020 to fulfill duties. This assignment will begin April 1, 2020 and will end June 30, 2020. This additional assignment is not automatically renewed annually.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Develop Degree content, description, outcomes and measures.
  • Submit BAS degree for BOR approval and CRC review and approval.
  • Recommend general education courses and course sequence for the degree. 
  • Develop course objectives and student learning outcomes for the thirteen courses and submit for CRC review and approval as needed.    
  • Review information with department faculty and staff, as well as educational partners. 
  • Other duties agreed to with the Director and/or Dean.

Qualifications

The ideal candidates for this position will meet the following criteria:

  • Current TMCC instructor with degree in CTE.
  • One-year full-time teaching experience in a Career and Technical Field or combination of experience and teaching. 
  • Have experience with curriculum development

Compensation

3 credits release or stipend

Reports to

This position reports to the Dean of Technical Sciences.

Accountability

At the end of the Spring 2020 semester, the developers will provide a written report that details progress and activities to the Division Dean.

The letter should be addressed to the Dean of Technical Sciences and must be received in that office by 5:00 p.m. on June 1, 2020.

The Dean of Technical Sciences will notify applicants of the hiring decision on or before June 4, 2020.
