Per the NFA Contract, Article 10, TMCC is announcing to all eligible Academic and Administrative faculty that a need exists for a “Corequisite Math Advisory Tool Kit” for Academic and Faculty Advisors.

Description
There exists a need for a Corequisite Math Advisory Tool kit to clarify the differences of the two open math pathways. With the movement to more faculty advising, a universal tool kit that both Academic Advisors and Faculty Advisors can use to help guide students into the correct math class is needed. In additional, the tool kit should include a student self-assessment guide that can be made available to students to take on the Math Department webpage to help students discern which math class is right for them.
Scope of Work
Approximately 35–40 hours. Review of the framework needs to be completed by Nov. 1, 2021.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
Develop tool kit that can be integrated into Canvas. The Corequisite Advising Tool Kit needs to include at least the following: expectations on day one of each class, content examples, rigor, in class and outside of class time, tutoring support, and which programs require which course. The tool kit should be developed in such a way that any faculty member or Academic Advisor can utilize as a means to help guide students into the proper pathways. Work in conjunction with department, dean, and Academic Advising.
Qualifications
Full-time faculty with experience teaching Math with co-requisite support.
Compensation
$2,150. This additional assignment is supported by a set dollar amount which cannot be directed towards release time. Paying a stipend is the only available compensation.

Dean of Math and Physical Sciences
Application Process
Interested faculty will submit a letter of interest describing special qualifications and background information no later than 5 p.m on Oct. 13, 2021.
The letter should be addressed to Anne Flesher, Dean of Math and Physical Sciences. Note: Administrative faculty must include a documented plan for separation of the additional assignment work from regular work time.
Selection Process
The Dean will notify applicants of the hiring decision on or before Oct. 14, 2021.
