There exists a need for a Corequisite Math Advisory Tool kit to clarify the differences of the two open math pathways.  With the movement to more faculty advising, a universal tool kit that both Academic Advisors and Faculty Advisors can use to help guide students into the correct math class is needed.  In additional, the tool kit should include a student self-assessment guide that can be made available to students to take on the Math Department webpage to help students discern which math class is right for them.

Scope of Work

Approximately 35–40 hours. Review of the framework needs to be completed by Nov. 1, 2021.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

Develop tool kit that can be integrated into Canvas.  The Corequisite Advising Tool Kit needs to include at least the following: expectations on day one of each class, content examples, rigor, in class and outside of class time, tutoring support, and which programs require which course.  The tool kit should be developed in such a way that any faculty member or Academic Advisor can utilize as a means to help guide students into the proper pathways.  Work in conjunction with department, dean, and Academic Advising.
