Description

The “Train the Trainer: Automotive” will upskill the in-place ACE HS Diesel Instructor.    

Scope of Work

This is an assignment requiring additional work days/hours outside regular contract days, including times as needed during spring and summer to fulfill duties. This assignment will begin when awarded and will end on Aug. 12, 2022. This additional assignment is not automatically renewed annually.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Provide training on the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) Training that meets local industry standards as relevant to TMCC's Transportation Program.  
  • Provide the Trainer with an overview of TMCC's Transportation Program and Lab equipment. Overview includes proper/safe use of lab equipment. 
  • Provide the Trainer with an overview of TMCC's Transportation Program Curriculum. 
  • Other duties agreed to with the Director and/or Dean.

Qualifications

The ideal candidates for this position will meet the following criteria:

  • Current TMCC instructor.
  • Certified NC3 Instructor
  • 4 years of full-time teaching experience in Automotive or a combination of experience and teaching. 
  • Have experience with curriculum development and Canvas

Compensation

Not to exceed $3,000.00

Reports To

 This position reports to the Interim Dean of Technical Sciences.

Accountability

Accountability will include a kick-off meeting outlining learning content, mid-learning check-in, and a final closing out meeting. Meetings to include the Interim Division Dean.

Interested faculty will submit a letter of interest describing qualifications and background information as relevant to the responsibilities outlined above and a current CV. The letter should be addressed to the Interim Dean of Technical Sciences and must be received in that office by 5 p.m. on June 7, 2022.

Selection Process

The Director of Applied Technologies will notify applicants of the hiring decision on or before June 8, 2022.  Assignment to be completed on or before Aug. 12, 2022.
