Advanced Manufacturing Dual Credit/Articulation Specialist (Lower-Division Courses)

Per the NFA Contract, Article 10, TMCC is announcing to all eligible Academic and Administrative faculty that a need exists for an Advanced Manufacturing Dual Credit/Articulation Specialist (Lower-Division Courses).  This position will work with high school personnel and instructors to coordinate and initiate dual credit/articulation agreements for the advanced manufacturing program as noted below.

Description

The dual credit/articulation specialist will meet with high school personnel and instructors to coordinate and initiate dual credit/articulation agreements between TMCC and high schools participating in the project.  This will include the presentation and promotion of these agreements to high school personnel. 

Scope of Work

This is an assignment requiring additional work days/hours outside regular contract days, including times as needed to fulfill duties. This assignment will begin July 29, 2020 and will end December 11, 2020 approximately 4 months total working 5 hours a week. This additional assignment is grant-funded and not automatically renewed annually.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  1. Determine steps necessary for dual credit/articulation agreements in Advanced Manufacturing courses between TMCC and high schools participating in the project.
  2. Oversee, coordinate and initiate dual credit/articulation agreements between TMCC and high schools participating in the project.
  3. Work with high school personnel, present and promote these agreements.
  4. Keep TMCC staff updated with any dual credit/articulation agreements necessary along with review of information with department faculty and staff, as well as industry partners. 
  5. Other duties agreed to with the Vice President of Academic Affairs and/or Director(s).

Qualifications 

The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following criteria:

  • Current TMCC experience in dual credit/articulation agreement preparation.
  • Two years full-time experience working with agreements between TMCC and high schools.
  • Knowledge of dual credit/articulation rules and regulations.
  • Experience with technical science curriculum.

Compensation

$3015.00 stipend.  This assignment is funded by NSF ATE Grant #2000699.

Reports To

This position reports to Pat Jarvis, Curriculum and Instructional Design, Technical Sciences.

Accountability

At the end of this additional assignment, the developer will provide a written report that details progress and activities to Pat Jarvis, Curriculum and Instructional Design, Technical Sciences; and Sarah Rosenbloom, grant manager.
