History and Political Science Club

Welcome to the History and Political Science Club!

Mission

The History and Political Science Club is intended to benefit any and all students who are interested in learning about Political Science or History. We will bring together like-minded individuals into open-minded discussions and debates.

Activities

Through the Decades Series: Every month we will host guest speakers who will discuss various political and cultural topics as they relate to each decade.

Tours & Scavenger Hunts: We are planning several self-guided and group tours around the Reno and Carson Valley areas.

Counterfactual Discussions: We will host historians/professors to lead discussions on alternative historical events contrary to what actually happened (what-if scenarios).

Movie Nights: Many movies are set in historical periods, and, while may not be 100% true to history, offer fun ways to discuss these events.

Historian and Politicians Speaker Series: More details to come, the board is hoping to plan an event for the Spring Semester.
