My name is Darian Richards. My current major is biology and I am so excited to be running for President. I am an ambitious and dedicated student who will work hard to provide a valuable voice for the students of TMCC. I aspire to spread positivity and strive to work hard. Currently I am the Vice President of SGA and decided to run for President. In my time as Vice President I have worked on many projects focused on bringing our students together and giving them much needed relief during this tough time. I am an extreme extrovert and usually describe myself as a golden retriever. I love to make friends and strike up conversation with everyone. You can usually find me with my nose in a book or in the great outdoors.
Brett Grimm is a fourth-generation Reno resident. He graduated from Reno High School in June of 2020 and started at TMCC in the fall of 2020. As a first-year student at TMCC, he recognizes the challenges students face when starting their journey in higher education. One of Brett's biggest priorities if elected will be focusing on projects and events based on our students' feedback and interests. SGA is dedicated to creating an environment that improves the welfare of every student, and what better way to do that than by listening to the voices of TMCC students. Brett has served the SGA as a Senator for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters. He also serves as the international president of a non-profit leadership organization called DeMolay International, with chapters in over 20 different countries.
I am Katie Avery. I am currently a student at TMCC High School and am working towards my Associates Degree. I love learning about the inner workings of our amazing campus and how we, as a student body, can improve our campus. I am always looking to get involved and improve our campus to give every single student an amazing experience here at TMCC.
Hello! My name is Scott Finley. I am a U.S. Air Force military veteran with over 5 years of experience in the Financial Management & Comptroller career field. As was part of my job, I worked closely with people and made sure that their needs were being taken care. I am pursuing an electrical engineering degree with a robotics, autonomous/aerial vehicles, and embedded systems emphasis. I am deeply passionate about learning and helping people reach their educational goals. With my unique background and skill set, I am confident that I can represent fellow TMCC students across many different backgrounds. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, riding horses, running, and expanding my skill set.
Hello my name is Alfonso. I am new to Reno from Kansas City, MO, but born and raised in Leesville, LA. I am 29 years old. I am currently 18 credits away from an Associates Degree in Business. I am attempting to be a dual student at UNR Spring 2022 to get my degree in Accounting/Business Administration since TMCC does not have an Accounting program. My ultimate goal is to become a Project Developer for the city and focus on the development of Reno. I would like to use this time to hone my skills and get more familiar with the city, the people, and their specific needs. I dream of being a liaison that will truly unite the United States and possibly start a new political interest group that recognizes all cultures, races, genders, and pronouns. One that also sustains economic growth, ecological stability, and technological advances for all ages.
