Overview
These days many businesses use data to analyze their practices, audiences and success. Data can drive the largest corporations, and the smallest companies, based on the goals of the query. If you are most at home using data to analyze how or why things work, then a degree in Data Science is for you. This degree will prepare you for a high paying, entry-level data analyst profession.
The Associate of Science in Data Science is a general transfer degree program designed for students who are planning to transfer to a baccalaureate-level institution, where you can complete a Bachelor’s degree. This degree will provide you with opportunities for employment upon completion as a Data Analyst. The Associate of Science degree in Data Science includes skills in mathematics, science, data literacy and analysis, programming, and general education for transfer to a four-year institution.
You’ll choose electives in areas such as business, health care, engineering, or science, and you’ll learn technical skills in Python as a programming language, SQL for querying, and R for statistical analysis. All these skills are needed in the workforce, and your education will be a blend of programming, mathematical and statistical skills, and technical skills needed to query, clean, and explore large data sets.
Why Choose Data Science at TMCC?
