Chemistry classes at TMCC support degree programs in the physical sciences and biology, but also in nursing, dental hygiene, radiological technology, and those looking for careers in medicine, biotechnology, engineering and fire sciences.
An Associate of Science (AS) Degree, Chemistry Emphasis, provides the first two years towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry at most major universities.
Students who plan to major in Chemistry at UNR will want to take the CHEM 341/342/347 sequence at UNR and transfer the courses back to TMCC to complete their AS Degree, Chemistry Emphasis.
Chemistry classes are limited to 28 students and both lecture and lab are taught by the same instructor so that students receive one-on-one attention from the instructor.
