On Thursday, March 23, hundreds of non-profit organizations across Nevada will be participating in Nevada’s Big Give, a 24-hour fundraising event. Sponsored by Razoo and powered by United Way, this one day event has raised over $2 million since its inception five years ago.
Students, staff and community donors can help support Truckee Meadows Community College and the TMCC Foundation by making an online gift to Nevada's Big Give TMCC 2017 on March 23.
Gifts of any size are appreciated and will go toward helping our students meet their financial needs through scholarships. In the 2016-17 academic year, the TMCC Foundation awarded over $600,000 in scholarships, totaling more than 500 awards for students (students are eligible to receive more than one award). The TMCC Foundation is quite proud of this accomplishment, but our students continue to have great financial need and we are only able to award scholarships to about one-third of applicants.
That’s where our donors come in: by giving a gift toward scholarships, you can help a student achieve their academic goals by funding tuition, student fees, or books. There are dozens of scholarships already in existence that you can support by giving to the general scholarship fund, or you can endow a brand new scholarship in honor of yourself or a loved one.
