Truckee Meadows Community College graduates have shown that they go out into the community creating a strong, skilled workforce, building businesses and being engaged with volunteerism and leadership.

TMCC Alumni Association annually honors an extraordinary graduate at commencement in May. Nominations are being accepted now through April 11 for the 2016 Alumnus/Alumna of the Year Award. Please submit nominations online.

In addition to giving that extraordinary graduate his/her well-deserved credit, the award also increases recognition of the quality of a TMCC education.

Guidelines are as follows:

  • Nominee is a TMCC graduate, degree holder, program completer or began an advanced degree at TMCC.
  • Nominee has contributed service to the Reno-Sparks community.
  • Nominee is not an employee of TMCC.

Exceptions to these guidelines are permissible at the discretion of the TMCC Foundation.

The chosen awardee will receive public recognition at commencement, which will be held on Friday, May 20 at 10 a.m. at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino. Nominees must be able to attend the ceremony if chosen for the award.
