Truckee Meadows Community College is scheduled for its regular seven-year re-accreditation visit October 14-16, 2015.

During this time, evaluators from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) will be on campus to review the College and look for evidence of abiding by standards through document reviews and interviews. TMCC is currently fully accredited and does not have any pending recommendations to address.

TMCC is accredited by the NWCCU, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The NWCCU is one of six regional organizations recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit postsecondary institutions within the United States.

The mission of the NWCCU is to assure educational quality, enhance institutional effectiveness, and foster continuous improvement of colleges and universities in the northwest region through analytical institutional self-assessment and critical peer review based upon evaluation criteria that are objectively and equitably applied to institutions with diverse missions, characteristics, and cultures.

Members of the public are invited to provide input regarding the College and its programs and services. To submit feedback, you may contact Dr. Lance Bowen, TMCC Dean of Sciences and Accreditation Liaison Officer, or by phone at 775-674-7552.
