Workshop: Practical Math for Roadway Workers

Workshop Description

This course is designed to familiarize students with math techniques for calculating the areas and volumes of roadways for construction and maintenance. Units of dimensions and time and how to manipulate them will be covered. All examples will be roadway geometry and materials based.

This is an elective course of the Road Scholar Program.

Randy Bowling, PE, is currently the Program Manager of Nevada Local Technical Assistance Program. As a former Nevada Department of Transportation engineer, Randy gained valuable construction experience. He then established a successful consulting firm. Randy is a licensed civil engineer in four western states, an engineering consultant and is experienced in NDOT and municipal construction projects in Nevada.
