Eligibility

Applications may be submitted by TMCC individuals and teams of faculty, classified employees, and administrators.

Preferred Projects

Preference will be given to projects that encourage innovation and benefit large numbers of students. Priority will be given to learning communities/teams of faculty and teams of staff that work together to develop an innovative idea/solution. Measurable outcomes and likelihood of success are important factors to consider when preparing an application. See the list of previously funded projects for examples.

Funding Parameters

Generally, grant awards range from $300 for individuals to $7,500 for teams. Applications requesting grant amounts in excess of $7,500 must be accompanied by proof of matching funds. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Reviewing Committee made up of members of the TMCC Community, including a TMCC Foundation Board Member.

Reporting/Fund Distribution

A final performance report must be submitted to the Foundation by Nov. 15, 2024. Any funds not disbursed by the deadline will be returned to the Faculty and Staff Grant Fund. If grant awardees fail to submit a report, they will not be eligible for future funding.

Areas Not Funded

Board policy prohibits funding for faculty compensation, political/lobbying activities, travel and religious-related activities.
