140 The Meadow Reyna.” It’s not an exact lie; she and Fran do room together more often than not. However, they were never assigned to be roommates; Bridget just invited Fran to stay over. It started originally because they had been assigned partners for a freshman history project. At first, they spent most of their time at the library, but when they ended up routinely going on later than the library was open, Bridget had invited Fran back to her dorm since Fran’s roommate probably wouldn’t take well to their hustle and bustle all night as they tried to get the project done. After Fran had fallen asleep at her place anyway a couple nights in a row, Bridget offered her space to the other girl any time. “Even after the project’s done,” Bridget had said, trying to sound more confident than the flustered mess she felt she was, “If you just wanna, um, hang, then. You know. You can just come over.” Fran had grinned at her and taken her up on the offer. Ever since they actually started dating, Fran had essentially completely switched dorms. So… ”roommates” wasn’t a lie. It just wasn’t a complete truth, either. Fran’s brow raises the tiniest bit at the revelation of Reyna being Bridget’s sister, but she doesn’t seem too surprised. “Hi!” She greets instead of commenting, “It’s nice to meet you.” Reyna nods her agreement. The man behind her clears his throat just a bit. Reyna jumps, before flushing the tiniest bit. “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry!” she says to him, taking his hand. She turns back to Bridget and Fran, her smile a little shyer, but no less bright. “I was just so excited about seeing you again I forgot, but-” She leads the man forward a little bit, including him more in the little circle they’ve created. “This is my boyfriend, Russell. He’s at NYU too, working on his doctorate!” Russell flushes a bit at Reyna showing him off before he gives the two a smile. “It’s nice to meet you. Reyna talks about you a lot, Bridget.”
