Institutional Research mission The Institutional Research (IR) Office is committed to providing data and analyses to support planning, policy development and decision-making aimed at improving the educational experience of students at TMCC. Goals 1. To provide accurate and timely collection, analysis, and dissemination of institutional data via regular and ad hoc reporting to internal and external audiences 2. To support continuous improvement initiatives by anticipating the information needs of the institution 3. To further the mission of the institution, and to support its core themes, through promoting evidence- based and research-informed decision-making to improve student success Department Overview and Purpose Driven by the other core planning documents of the College, such as the Enrollment Management Plan and Strategic Master Plan, IR serves the College by providing the following functions:  Coordinate and complete mandatory reporting to federal, state and local agencies  Perform traditional institutional research and data analysis of student enrollment, and student outcomes  Maintain and update online data dashboards  Lead research and analysis efforts in the areas of enrollment, student performance and outcomes  Oversee administration of all surveys conducted at the College  Collaborate with Web Services and the Marketing & Communication offices to increase the profile of TMCC in the community, particularly with respect to high school student recruitment  Assist the President, academic and administrative leadership across the institution with policy and decision- making by providing relevant research, analysis and information
