Join an award-winning photographer as you enjoy a slideshow lecture and explore tips and techniques to take your photography to the next level. Discuss composition using natural lighting and review design elements such as color, lines, shapes and patterns. Put your new knowledge to use during a field shoot at the famed lake. To ensure personal attention, this class is open only to the first 12 who register. P hoto Portraits Learn how to get those beautiful portraits of family and friends for the holidays with your digital camera. Explore different techniques needed for indoor and outdoor photoshoots, as well as equipment and accessories that will capture those perfect shots. Discuss lighting, posing, composition and color palettes that create a beautiful portrait. Bring your camera to practice in class. During the lecture, discover secrets using your camera’s settings, flash techniques and how to take advantage of the blue hour. Then, gain valuable hands-on experience as you put your newfound knowledge to work during an evening shoot in Reno. Discuss the importance of species research and ethics, camera settings and angles, lenses and lighting. Then, put your newfound knowledge to use during a field shoot at Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary. An $11 entrance fee will be required to enter Animal Ark. Flesh-out memorable characters, settings, a plot and themes, and gain instructor feedback as you take part in the revision process.
