Movie Screening: "The Ripple Effect"
Sep. 10, 2019, 5:30 - 8 p.m.
Sierra 108, Dandini Campus
Since 2006 Nevada Coalition for Suicide Prevention (NCSP) has held our annual “Walk in Memory, Walk for Hope” at the end of National Suicide Prevention Week in September. We thank each and every one of you for your participation and support over the years to help bring visibility and understanding to suicide and its devastating impact on our families and our communities.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances we are not going to be able to have the walk this year. In observation of National Suicide Prevention Week and World Suicide Prevention Day, Reno representatives of the NCSP will show the film “The Ripple Effect” by Kevin Hines, survivor of a suicide attempt off the Golden Gate Bridge.
We look forward to seeing you at TMCC Dandini in the Sierra Building at 5:30–8 p.m. on Sept. 10, 2019. (World Suicide Prevention Day) Appetizers will be available for your enjoyment and are being provided by Providence Health Plan.
Please encourage family and friends to share this opportunity of connecting with each other and support those who have lost a loved one, friend or acquaintance to suicide.
Proceeds from your participation fee for the movie of $15 per person helps us meet our annual budget needs for training and education. All monies stay within our local community and increases awareness around suicide and mental health issues.
