Transportation Technologies

Students Working on Car

Modern vehicles grow more sophisticated every year, and new transportation technologies continue to need skilled technicians.

The demand for these skilled technicians continues to be strong in Northern Nevada for the foreseeable future. Besides basic mechanics, repair technicians and operators must understand electronics, computers and troubleshooting applications.

The transportation technologies programs train repair technicians to standards established by nationally recognized industry groups.

Programs offered through Transportation Technologies include Automotive, Aviation and Diesel. Completed programs offer both one-year certificates of achievement in given concentration and two-year associate of applied science degrees.
