Each month we host representatives from four-year colleges and universities visiting TMCC to meet with you and offer a variety of advising workshops. Additionally, we will post other events related to transferring to another institution.

Pre-Professional Workshop: Pre-Health

The path to a professional career starts at TMCC. The Pre-Professional workshop is designed to support students' goals of entering Professional School through completing prerequisite courses, participating in appropriate extracurricular activities, understanding the application process, and much more. Pre-professional career tracks covered at the workshop include: pre-dentistry, pre-med (physician and physician assistant), pre-pharmacy, pre-physical therapy, pre-occupational therapy and pre-optometry.

  • Feb. 28: 2–4 p.m.
  • Mar. 30: 9–11 a.m.
  • Apr. 29: 12–2 p.m.
  • May 21: 3–5 p.m.

TAP Workshop

The Transfer Admissions Program (TAP) is designed to give students an opportunity to continue their education and ultimately obtain a Bachelor's degree at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Allied Health Advising Workshop

Interested in working in the healthcare field and learning about what degrees/certificates that TMCC has to offer? Come to an Allied-Health Advising Workshop. During the workshop, our academic advisors will review allied health programs and the specific pre-admission requirements for each: dental hygiene, dental assisting, nursing, radiologic technology, veterinary technician, pre-hospital emergency medicine/paramedic, certified nursing assistant (CNA), and College of Southern Nevada's surgical technologist program.
