On Track to Graduate

Grad Smiling

On Track to Graduate is a group advising service designed to introduce you to all the advisement tools available on our website and through your MyTMCC student center. Understanding these tools will empower you to make informed decisions about how to meet your educational goals in an enjoyable and efficient manner.

If you completed Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR), you received a copy of our student guidebook "S.O.A.R. to New Heights at TMCC", which provided you with information and resources designed to help you have a successful start with your college career at TMCC.

Our "S.O.A.R. to New Heights at TMCC" introduces students to more tools and resources to help you successfully stay on track with college.

About the Workshops

During the hands-on On Track workshop, academic advisors will help you better understand and navigate the TMCC College Catalog, one of the most important tools available to you. The catalog contains information regarding College policies that affect students, degree program worksheets, and course descriptions including prerequisites and corequisites. Using the catalog in conjunction with your advisement report or a what-if scenario will help you create a long-term educational plan, which you may then add to your MyTMCC planner. Having a well-organized plan and a thorough understanding of degree requirements will keep you on track to meeting your goals.

It is important to understand your options if you plan to continue your educational journey once you graduate from TMCC. On Track to Graduate helps to ensure that all of your degree requirements have been or are planned to be met. We will also provide you with information to aid in the process to transferring to a university within the Nevada System of Higher Education or to an out-of-state school.
